Evaluating cybersecurity attitudes and behaviors in Portuguese healthcare institutions

The growing digitization of healthcare institutions and its increasing dependence on Internet infrastructure has boosted the concerns related to data privacy confidentiality. These have been challenged with specific issues, namely sensitivity data, specificity networked equipment, heterogeneity professionals (nurses, doctors, administrative staff other) IT skills they have. In this paper we present results obtained a study made evaluating their awareness level information security, by assessing attitudes behaviours in cybersecurity. methodology consisted translating, adjusting applying two previously validated already published Likert-type response scales, institution Portugal, “Centro Hospitalar Barreiro Montijo” (CHBM). scales used were cybersecurity risky behaviour (RScB) cybercrime business (ATC-IB). Although there no significant statistical differences between sociodemographic factors scores both showed relationship acquired involvement work organizational commitment, establishing bridge for quantification awareness.
